Fairfield by Marriott Dongguan Changping

I stayed in this hotel from 6th December to 12th December for 5 nights. And overall I had a amazing time in this property. The view looks so beautiful from my room and I stayed at 14th floor room number was #1420. All the staffs are very helpful and they are always smiling when they see me. Special thanks to front desk team, always there to help you for anything. Specially I would like to high light these names, Victoria, Jovy, Ruby, Dasiy & very special thank to One & Only Dora, she is super helpful and she is a very service oriented person on this hotel. She has follow the Marriott standards very much and I feel so good to see that from her. Once again thank you so much.

Breakfast with limited food choice and even same all week long. Main issue is the lack of an internal restaurant, outside there is more or less nothing if you want to eat something different from Chinese food. Rooms are quite new, clean but with some weird design if you are not used to completely open bathroom. Air conditioning is a nightmare, even with fan speed at lowest level, noise will not let you sleep easily and also cold air will freeze you since all the vents are facing the bed. If you turn off air conditioning you will start sweat because temperature will rise above 28 deg in a while.

Fairfield was pretty much ok as 3 star basic business hotel. Check-in was smooth. Room is not big but practical. Layout is pretty ok. Bed was good for sleeping, but too small for two persons. Air-con ok. I do not like the fact that toilet was in open space. I was able to watch CNN. There is a C- store minimart also nearby (good for snacks and drinks). Tip: I would suggest guests to dine at next door restaurant Hutaoli. Food is pretty good (both local and western dishes / some pics enclosed) and after 9pm they have live music. Wine / drink selection is also good. Ok place to kill time. Hotel breakfast was pretty much ok. Overall Fairfield was ok choice for bit below ¥400 per night. I could stay here again when in Changping town. This is a good 3 star hotel. Hotel had several foreigners during my stay and receptionists did speak ok English.

This place is clean, new and everything you, but the air con is awful. There is not much around the area to eat. The breakfast is very clean and not bad to be honest. It's the best hotel in the area for sure!

The location of the hotel is conveniently near the train station, but about a 10 min ride from the commercial center where all the restaurants and businesses are. So if you want food and night life, you will need a cab. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff try but if you want to cater to foreign business travelers you will need staff with better English skills. The worst thing about the hotel is that they shut off the AC during the day in winter and spring months. Yes that time period is generally cooler in that part of the world, but it can still get up to 27-28 degrees celsius on any given day. I was staying there in the middle of April and it was warm and muggy. Unfortunately I needed to work in my room during the day. It got quite stuffy and even after repeated requests to turn on the AC, they couldn't "fix" the problem. I don't believe anything needed to be "fixed". It's just how things are.

Check-in was stoic and indifferent. The establishment is good only because it's new (built in 2017). Room is spacious and breakfast is solid. However, expect to hear our next door neighbor's every word. The wall has no sound barrier whatsoever and you will hear the people in the next room. Which leads to the problem we had. Our next room guests knocked on my door to ask us to quiet down when all we did is talk in in-door volume. I invited them in to our room and show them that I can hear every word they say too, and the person heard that, gave me a dirty look, and left. And I thought that was that. Next thing I know, late at night no less, when we are sound asleep, the hotel staff ring the door bell and bang on my door to wake us up. All just to tell us we have complains and we should be quiet. This is absolutely ridiculous. They woke up our whole family in the middle of the night for a false accusation? I told the staff this is unacceptable and they should be able to tell clearly that we are making absolutely no noise whatsoever because we are all sound asleep! They simply told me to be quiet because the guest next room claim we are too loud and left. Horrible hotel, do not recommend at tall.

The hotel was in a good location for my visit. Before this opened I stayed at Hyatt Songshan Lake but this was much closer. Good location for restaurants too. Breakfast was much more bountiful than the USA Fairfields. Several fresh options and better service. My #1 complaint was my room temperature. Not sure if AC was off but one morning I woke up at my room was 25*. Way too hot for me. They have Windows to open but too much noise to sleep like that. I did ask the desk to have engineering check but second night was only better because it was cooler outside! I was by myself but if you are sharing a room you should known there is limited privacy with the toilet. No room or door! I know I can't bring my wife there!!!! Aside from the temperature I can and probably will stay again. Functional room at an affordable price.

This is new Marriott Hotel and the rooms are ok. There are no suite rooms but that’s ok for the price and locality. Only issue I think they need to improve on is having a f&b outlet for lunch and dinner. Currently, you can only have breakfast on the property. Lunch and dinner is not available.

If you're taking the train from Hong Kong, then this is the perfect location! Only a 5 minute drive from the train station, Fairfield is super central and is close to restaurants, banks and even a great spa! The rooms are very spacious and the breakfast was delicious. Great value for money!

New hotel with some nice touches. Nice bed, lots of pillows, and good air conditioning. The only thing that can be improved would be the breakfast choices: 5 days in a row of the same thing can be a little boring.
