Cantervilla Castle

Historical building, interesting place, good dinner for money. My children liked that the TV had programms in different languages, including our native. Comfortable beds.

The bathroom shall be reconstructed. No normal shower, uncomfortable toilet, very small and uncomfortable sink. Considering that the property has the bank of the lake it is surprisingly that the swimming beach is not available (only if the tickets of the nearby theme park are bought, which was not our interest). Breakfast should include some pastries as well.

Nature was very beautiful, the building was interesting, breakfast was also nice. The dining rooms were very beautiful and retro. There was a very cute cat.

Staff was not professional, sometimes even rude/dismissive when it came to speaking English. Also, they did not introduce the place to us properly. They asked us to reserve a table hours before for the dinner, and even though we did that, when we came for our dinner they gave the table to someone else. They did not even say sorry about this, and acted as if it was normal. We didn't want to sit at the table they already prepared for us, without confirming with us. When we choose to sit at another free table, staff asked us to carry the cutlery from the prepared table. Again, when they brought the meals, there was a hair on my partner's meal. They agreed to change the meal but it took 30/40 mins, and I had to continue with a cold meal. The rooms' sound isolation was very bad, we could easily hear when people talked or watched a TV at night. Also, the floor was not clean in the room. Pool/sauna place was not clean. It was visible that the pool was dirty and the overall sauna area was a bit chaotic. Also, no one showed the sauna/pool place - they did not explain anything to us. At the reception they told us that sauna was open between 6-10 pm, however, then it turned out to be 7-10 pm.

Unique, interesting, lovely history as we went back in time.
