Hotel Gema

Based on others’ reviews we chose Hotel Gema for our one night stopover. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and warm. Big bathroom too. The reception and restaurant (in the lower ground floor - take the lift) staff were very helpful and friendly. The night we stayed was Carnival so we had a lively introduction to the village of Almadén. Would recommend Hotel Gema.

The hotel was easy to find and in a good location with easy walking access to the city. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was a decent size, well equipped and clean. The breakfast was alright. Overall a good experience.

More choice for breakfast; for example cereal and yogurt.

Friendly staff

The WiFi connection was terrible, the building is very noisy I could hear everything from the other rooms, I was expecting a doble room as I booked but they gave me a twin accommodation, they say there were no more doble bed as there are only two rooms like that, I understand that but they should notify in advance, staff is friendly and helpful. There wasn't air conditioning available due to it is controlled by the staff, they said it was cold but I experienced a bit of hot, moreover the restaurant service is quite ok, breakfast included but only the Spanish option, it seems quite impossible to ask for an American breakfast.
