The room service robots were cute. The security guard was very nice and helpful with issues in our rooms. Reception was not very cooperative however. See below.

We arrived knowing exactly what we had to pay. Booking.com listed the room fee and added the extra tax. But at reception they said we had to pay 50 RMB per room per day extra. They said they had informed us but they had not. They described this as a room cleaning fee. What the hell hotel charges extra for cleaning. At some point in the conversation they said this only applied to foreign guests. I suspect that might not be legal in China. Tired, we eventually paid but argued again when we checked out. They then offered a refund of 1/3 the amount charged. We have not had this refund yet. We are angry and disappointed at this treatment. If Booking gives the total cost, that should be what we pay. The rooms were clean but the lobby and corridors rather grubby and one of our rooms had a stale atmosphere. They changed it after one day. People smoked in the lobby and it stank repulsively. The lift doors shut prematurely and brutally. We learned during our stay that cleaners are told not to be generous resupplying water bottles. Overall, a disappointing aspect if our stay in an interesting and attractive city.

Ordinary clean hotel with a good location. About 20 minutes' walk to the central street. There are restaurants etc around. Nice to see more of "ordinary" life, and not just tourists.

Even though the floor was supposed to be smoke-free, there were even signs posted, there was a smell of smoke in the corridor. However, not in the room. The cleaning of the floor can be improved.
