Happy Dragon Saga Hotel with terrace Beijing Forbidden City Wang Fu Jing Street

We absolutely loved our stay at Happy Dragon! The staff were incredibly kind, helpful and full of warmth — their attention and smiles were one of the best memories from our time in Beijing. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, and we enjoyed the breakfast every single morning. Everything was easy and pleasant from the first moment.

The communication before we arrived at the hotel was excellent, I received WhatsApp messages giving hotel information directions transport details etc etc. They even book our 'Great Wall Tour' for us which was brilliant. On arrival at the hotel we were met by Mya and Hannah, their English was excellent and made our arrival very welcoming. Throughout the stay the staff made sure that we had everything we needed. The hotel from the street doesn't look much but don't let this fool you. This is a lovely quirky hotel and the inside is well kept clean and looks newley renovated. I Would highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Beijing

nothing really, I don't think there is a lift if you needed one but there are ground floor rooms.

The girls at the reception were great, very friendly, helpful and enthousiastic. In terms of personnel it was one our best hotel experiences ever! They were so helpfull: booking a private car to the great wall, letting us take as much botlles of water as we liked and free upgrade of the room. But most of all they made us feel very welcome and at home. Thank you so much!

It wasn't the first time we found that the information on booking is misleading. This was more like a youth hostel and not a 4 'star' hotel. We were still very happy with the hotel, the room was spacious and the beds comfortable, the location was good, the breakfast was great. So we would certainly recommend this for an authentic Beijing experience. Be aware it is a 1,2 k walk to the nearest subway station. Overall we were very happy with our choice this hotel, although we made it on information that is not entirely accurate.

This was our first stop in China and it was so welcoming, friendly, helpful and lovely we were so glad we landed at this hotel. They helped us get up and running with internet, sorted out WiFi, ali-pay, called reservations for us and booked cabs, offered great suggestions and booked us Taxis and Didi rides to name just a few of things that saved us and set us up for success. Shout out huge thanks to Maya, Hannah, Cathy and the rest of the team.

The stuff were very very nice and welcoming. Always with a smile and making sure you have everything you need ,including helping with translating . Zoey, Cathy, Ella and the rest of the workers were absolutely great.

I didn't know that there is no elevator... And I thought it was walking erea to the forbidden city and I had to take a taxi. But It was fast easy and not expensive. And the stuff showed me how to get a taxi from alipay.

Het hotel ligt op een goede locatie, niet ver van de metro en dichtbij restaurants. De kamers zijn lekker ruim, maar wat het echt.gezellig maakt zijn de meiden die er werken. Bedankt Maya, Ella, Cathy,, Zoë en Hannah. Jullie maakten ons verblijf speciaal!

Dat we niet langer konden blijven

Let's get to the heart of this review. First of all my life and I spent 3 days there and we loved it! It's nothing big or fancy, but it's a hidden gem nonetheless. It' located in small Hutong a mile or row from The Forbidden City, so there's a nice old world charm with that. The cost per night is affordable with comfortable rooms and quite likely, the most comfortable beds we've ever stayed in any hotel, including some big name chain hotels. The true selling point is the great, and I mean GREAT staff who speak great English and go out of their way o make your stay what you would like it to be. Zoey and May are wonderful and helped us book trips to The Summer Palace, The Great Wall, and The Forbidden City. They also offered some tips ad hints on where to eat within easy walking distance; eateries that served tasty food at good prices. So do yourself a favor while you're scrolling down the hotels when you're looking for a place to stay in Beijing and give the a try. When we return to Bejing this will be our go-to hotel once again.

Ha sido una experiencia de 10, desde el primer momento el recibimiento es muy acogedor por parte de todo el personal y a medida que iban pasando los días te das cuenta que es como sentirte en casa. En nuestra experiencia de 5 días hemos tenido la experiencia de habernos olvidado el teléfono móvil en el didi y el personal muy rápidamente se puso en contacto con el chofer para que en 30 minutos lo tuviéramos de vuelta. En definitiva, si volviéramos a Beijing nos volveríamos a quedar en este hotel 😁

The staff! They were extremely helpful booking day trips (The Forbidden City, Great Wall, Summer Palace, et al) and will make you feel like a welcomed guest! Zoey and Mae May?) were wonderful. They speak excellent English, will help you navigate your walking experience, and will arrange transportation to and from the hotel as well. At first, we were a little taken aback about the hotel's locale in a small traditional Hutong, but soon realized its charm, as well as its location. I highly recommend this for travelers! If and when we visit Beijing again, this will be our GO-To stay. We loved it!

N/A we liked everything about this small gem! It's not a big chain hotel with elevator music or bellhops. It's an affordable budget hotel that expands your take on what a good hotel should be, Clean rooms, great location, and a great staff!
