Beautiful historical property with lovely garden areas

Our room was lovely however there was an adjoining door that had been blocked but let a lot of noise through it could do with being sound proofed we could hear every sound and movement

C'est un beau bâtiment

La douche dans la salle de bain était cassé, on a eu que de l'eau froide, pas possible de prendre une douche. Le personnel de l'hôtel n'a pas vraiment donné de solution. Il y a un bar en bas, c'était bien bruyant avant 23:00. Bien trop cher pour avoir ce genre de problèmes!!!

The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs

The kings Lodge is a lovely pub with gorgeous food and wonderful, friendly staff. We had a brilliant time in the restaurant, pub area and lovely beer garden. The accommodation is good value for money in a perfect location for Harry Potter studios and the best thing was how comfy the bed was! Bonus mention- good quality pillows and quilts, extra pillows were a fabulous touch.

Some of the facilities in the room are quite dated - lamp didn't work, we couldn't get the shower to work (maybe that's us!) There were parts of the room that could have done with a bit of a clean HOWEVER all that said the pros outweigh those points, overall it's a great spot for 1 night and would book again if I was in that area for a night.

A warm welcome and friendly staff team, the beds were comfy.

The radiator was stuck on full blast and when a staff member said they’d sort it we expected to come back later and find the room bearable but nothing had changed. We couldn’t sleep it was so hot so we had to open all the windows which meant we heard loud shouting outside in the early hours and traffic noise all night.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The rooms were cosy and had tea and coffee available.

It was tricky to find transport to Luton airport. But a small issue overall.
