Fabulous location. Clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

The property is nowhere near the hotel continental check in and directions to the house are poor, not easily sign posted. The room was extremely small. Toilet seat broken: bed sheets stained. Extremely noisy. TV only had one channel (ITV)

Good location. Close to the main parts of town and the sea.

We didn’t realise that the room/building was part of the Hotel Continental which is a good 15 mins walk away, if not more, away from the property. You have to check into the hotel and the go back to the boat house. The directions given by the receptionist were poor and when I called asking for better directions I was told they didn’t know the road and I would just have to keep looking. The room is set up as a hotel room, but without any of the hotel facilities. I would have minded if this had been explained in the information or on check in, as we could have prepared accordingly. The pictures of the room were misleading. There was nothing wrong as such, it was just not the same as the information. The information in the room was all about the hotel and gave the impression that the room would be restocked with tea, milk etc daily. This was not the case. Which also wouldn’t have been an issue, but it would have been useful if the information reflected the situation and wasn’t just a copy of the hotel room info. The floors in the boathouse are all wooden which I assume is so it can easily be cleaned. But it means that you can hear everyone moving in all the 4 rooms and coming and going. As it was a weekend people were coming and going throughout the night and early hours which wasn’t ideal. It’s not a bad place but I feel that all the information about it, online, in the room and at the hotel, was really misleading. As such I feel it was overpriced for what it is.

Amazing location even having to check in at the sister hotel which is a bit if a walk from the boat house wouldn't put us off staying again. It was lovely clean and check in was smooth. Good value for a night's stay. Had tea coffee making facilities comfy bed and shower. We will be back . Really near the fantastic restaurant the whitstable oyster company and pubs such as the persons Arms lazy lobster and short walk from the Neptune. Also there is a little place outside to have brekkie on the beach right outside the huts.

The Boathouse is located very well close to the sea (no sea view) and many pubs and restaurants. It was clean and the beds were comfortable enough.

We had to collect the keys from a hotel which was a little walk away and no parking is provided which is a shame. The room was very small and basic as was the bathroom. Unfortunately our main issues were due to other residents noise! The walls are paper thin and we could very clearly hear our neighbours tv and conversations but this wasn’t a huge issue until some new guests arrived at about 11pm and played loud music with a very strong bass until about 5am! The hotel weren’t that interested when we reported this the next morning and said we should have called the night porter to deal with it but unfortunately we weren’t aware we could do this.
