The Millcroft Hotel

Lovely welcome from James and his team. Hotel in great position with wonderful views, especially from the restaurant. Room warm and comfortable. Good breakfast, with hot food made to order. Great restaurant evening meal.

As it's an old building, there is no lift. We had a lovely view from the top floor, but it meant carrying our cases up a couple of flights of stairs. Having said that, we were offered help on arrival.

Excellent views from corner room out over the bay. Breakfast was excellent. Convenient location for NC500 route. Best curry we’d had in Scotland for evening meal!!

Double bed was a little tight and uncomfortable for us (we normally sleep in a super king) but adequate for our one night stay. Due to early sunrises and late sunsets, room got flooded with light despite curtains. Easily solved with use eye masks we took though.

Schönes, helles Zimmer mit Meerblick. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten auf dem hoteleigenen Parkplatz.

Large suite had two bedrooms. The lambshanks for dinner were very goid

Red wine selection was limited and of poor quality

When you opened the bedroom suite door, there were approx 20 steps up to the room. Hot water took over 5 minutes to come out of the taps - we complained and they said there was nothing they could do, just leave the hot tap running until it came hot enough to wash/shower with We found 3 light bulbs in the suite not working on arrival. We complained, but they only fixed 1. Lovely view of the bay from the room, except the chair was too low to look out of the high windows and was facing into the room! Poor quality cooked food for breakfast

Leuk wat ouder hotel. Leuke bar, goed eten. Het ligt 10 minuten lopen vanaf het centrum, waar nog twee eetgelegenheden zijn, en een CO-OP. Parkeren achter het hotel, maar als dat vol is: beneden op parkeerplaats vanaf de weg langs het strand en met trap naar het hotel. Leuk personeel.

Location, breakfast, nice family apartment.

We got locked out of our apartment a couple of times because of a broken gate lock. We often didn't have hot water for showering neitherin the mor ing or in the evening.

The view of Gairloch Bay and surrounding mountains. A good breakfast and staff were friendly, helpful about local places of interest. Meeting other tourists / cyclists staying from the adjacent campsite in the bar for evening meal exchanging travel stories and sighting local wildlife made my stay worthwhile. I will return.
