Victoria hotel

Short walk to supermarket and takeaways. Friendly and helpful staff. Great room. Very well stocked kitchen/breakfast area. Good value for money. Handy for buses. Happy we stayed there.

Floors were a bit squeaky.... but then it's not a new building so you get character.

Nice ambience,good comfy bed and good level of finish throughout.

The walls in my area were only plasterboard stud ,there was 0% soundproofing and you could hear everything from nearby rooms. My world traveller tip is always take noise cancelling earphones for a more enjoyable experience(but the couple nearby were enjoying themselves immensely).

I think it is a good hotel and very nice and clean and warm. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I would certainly go there again and I would recommend it to others.

It's a pity that they don't do food/breakfast but I suppose you can't do everything and it's not really a problem as there's other places to eat near by .

The staff are excellent. So friendly and welcoming. I stayed here last year for only one night, but they remembered me. I personally love the location right next to the bus station. It might not be to everyone's taste, but you can't hear the buses from inside and I find it interesting watching them come and go. My room was huge and clean and peaceful. A lot of the furniture is antique or nearly antique. There's a little self-catering kitchen like in a hostel and I like how useful and unpretentious that is.

There's nothing I don't like about this hotel. It is in fact the only hotel I have ever visited twice. The lobby is arguably dated, but the whole place is so charming, it doesn't matter.

Excellent location for town centre. Next to bus terminus for onwwatd travel. Stayed for early start for walk on Wales Coastal Path and got bus to Greenfield. Room spacious and clean as was bathroom. Access easy and secure. Very quiet. My room was conveniently located for use of rear entrance. Very good value for money. Although I did not use it, there is a well equipped kitchen for guests which has some basic breakfast items available and also cooking facilities. It all appeared to be very clean. Plenty of space for luggage etc. Greeted by a chap called Alan who showed me to room. If looking for cheaper accommodation with ideal location then consider here.

Only detraction was bit of noticeable mould around shower screen, otherwise the hotel was spotless and well maintained. The mattress was more springy than I am used to but did not detract from sleep.
