Excellent location, friendly efficient and helpful staff

Excellent breakfast and location, friendly and very reaponsive staff members. Unique property, clean room and bathroom.

Shower pressure in the room was low but we reported it and staff were attentive to get this sorted.

I always stay here as my parents are laid to rest at the Crematorium. Lovely walks through the forest and great food at the Speech house.

Everything was great

Location, fair and fireworks on doorstep, lovely food, comfortable room.

Room could have been brighter.

It’s a nice property with antique interior and good food options. Breakfast was good

- Room was untidy, small and really uncomfortable. - Bathroom shower area had lot of mould and stains. - walls had spider webs - TV was so tiny and was creating lot of mess. Since TV was placed on the only table available in the room, it took all the space and we had no place to keep our own stuff. - rooms walls were just plaster boards, therefore there wasn’t any sound proof. Everything happening or every conversation in the next room was so loud and clear

Staff were lovely, so kind and helpful. Beds very comfy. The location was excellent - the forest being right at the door of the hotel. The food and service were also of a high standard. We had a really nice stay.

The road noise. Our room was on the road side. The lamps on the bedside tables were very dusty and the bathroom, though clean overall could do with a clean around the toilet pan. The room was otherwise fine.

We were welcomed on arrival by a very friendly and polite man, who was very helpful and offered us the opportunity of any help any time throughout the night. As we were parking, he came out to the car park to see if we were close enough to our room. The room was spotlessly clean along with everything in it, and the bed was comfortable. There was a small room with a dressing table, plenty of hanging space there was a kettle, along with tea, coffee and other extras, a fan and an extra heater. For an unplanned stay, in the bathroom, which was also spotless, there was everything you would need other than toothpaste and toothbrush. Pulling up to the hotel we saw three dear right outside, just before that wild boar, looked like a mother and her young we later heard an owl then saw it flying over when popping out to the car. so, for those who enjoy the beauty on a walk or just a picturesque scenery all around, it's perfect. We only stayed the night but have been to their restaurant and the meal was lovely we also used the bar, we arrived late so didn't have the chance on thus occasion. Many thanks for a beautiful and enjoyable stay. Our only disappointment was that we overslept and missed breakfast. We should have used the hotels' wake-up call option. Well worth the money and highly recommended.
