Been before it’s absolutely gorgeous

Location and food second to none

Loved staying here everything was clean and the staff were amazing. The food is really good and they have a lot of vegetarian options which is nice to see , parking on site is a big bonus too.

No AC/fans but it's hard to expect that in an old building

There was a good choice of dishes on the menu. The portion sizes were brilliant. The superior room was very spacious. The classic double room was spacious too with great views of the fells. The hotel is in an excellent place with plenty of walking trails in the village. Great bus service to Keswick.

The hotel is in an amazing place for hiking, friendly staff, great food and comfy rooms.

Fabulous friendly staff, and the food was superb. The room was clean, comfortable and most importantly for me very peaceful. I've had a drink here many times but my first time staying Check the portion sizes before ordering.... I was walking so ordered a starter and main, and failed to finish my main because the portions were so generous

The shower cubicle could have done with a mat to help prevent slipping. I generally prefer a bath but my room just had a shower
