The Station Restaurant & Bar

Bar and restaurant area is busy and friendly. We have stayed three times previously and the staff have always been very good.

As we are staying at the property, it would be nice to be able to get some breakfast during the week...at least a cup of coffee and a pastry of perhaps a bacon roll. No availability of such a service till 11am. We know the Station is close to the railway...no particular issue with that but there is some form of "compressor" noise that on the last occasion we stayed (13/15 October) ran for approximately 30 seconds or so every 20 minutes. That was disappointing, and not conducive to good sleep.

Staff were great, as was the food, restaurant and bar area.

The room was big enough but cold and the heating would not come on in the room. There was an inadequate curtain on an ill fitting pole that covered the window but not to the end of the pole to cover the door with its glass panel, which was pretty close to the bed. Cupboard/ wardrobe unusable due to damp musty smell

Beautiful building.pub and room. greeted like royalty and looked after with advice ,recommendations as well.Enjoyed the Station pub experience when we got back from Doncaster city centre, Buzzing in the pubs there.

Gorgeous pub, beautifully furnished. Fantastic food, bit pricey for my purse but worth it for a treat. Got a cheap price on a family room, very big bed, plenty of room . Very clean and tidy. Security lock on car park, closed 12pm till 8am. Check out 11 am.

No breakfast, but the pub serves brunch from 11am.

An excellent stay

Although we had no need nor desire to sit in the garden to watch the large TV screen, we thought it an excellent idea for families in fine weather!

Unfortunately no face tissues in the room nor bathroom!
