Very convenient location

A little scruffy in the halls

Nice old house and grounds but very run down.

Accommodation was poor and unkempt. Investment in refurbishment desperately needed.

Amazing setting for a wedding. Outside catering was amazing. Function room was good.

We stayed in the Gloucester Suite and it was in dire need of renovation and improvement. Although there was air conditioning in the room, when we reported that we couldn’t get it working we advised that because it wasn’t working. The curtains were in shreds. The furniture was very battered and worn. Window culls were rotten and filthy. Skirting boards were dusty. Bedding was very clean but the mattress was lumpy on one side. Breakfast was ok, but not great

We arrived on foot, as we were walking Shakespeare’s Way, and the hotel is perfectly situated on the route making it a great place to overnight. Large spacious room, beautiful setting.

The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The grounds were beautiful. Food and cocktails were lovely

The air conditioning in our room was broken, in 37 degree heat and the towel rail in the bathroom was on full with no option to adjust the temp or turn it off, absolutely burning hot which made the room unbearably warm. We told staff who said as it was a Sunday nothing could be done. There were also problems with the card machine in the restaurant so we had to attempt payment multiple times throughout our meal.
