The Jolly Sportsman

It’s a nice quiet spot tucked away in the heart of pleasantly rolling countryside. The service was excellent, and the facilities all very good. Good menu, well-presented food - excellent cooking and a good wine list. The room was comfortable; king sized bed; large walk-in shower. It all worked very well.

I would have preferred to have been asked about the optional service charge, rather than seen it bob up on the bill. I don’t much like this method of gratuity.

Love the location in quiet country area. fantastic walks arround location. Sitting down for breakfast lookibh out on the garden watching the squirrels collecting and eating acorns and chasing oneanothr.

My 3rd time staying. This place continues to be exceptional. Quality of the bedrooms, the wonderful staff and the exceptional food. I will stay again - and this time I will remember to request the superior king room - which is my favourite.
