Felt like an olde worlde pub even though it has only relatively recently been built. Room had love beam details. Room was large. Staff were very pleasant.

The room was far too hot (a known issue so sleep was tough). The lock on the room didn’t work properly (reported and the staff were going to fix).

Room was spacious and spotless, bed was comfortable and bathroom modern with good shower. Food was excellent. An easy drive to Knaresborough and Harrogate.
