Hotel Restaurant Hirschen

I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. I was here for a whole week as a solo traveller and it is one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed. The hotel has fantastic air con (it was over 30 degrees the whole time I was in Switzerland so that was very appreciated) The breakfast is lovely with many hot and cold options, plenty of tasty food. The location is perfect, out of interlaken enough that it doesn’t feel busy and crowded, but less than 15 minutes walk to interlaken west, maybe 20 minutes of pleasant walking to interlaken ost, however there are very regular buses to take you to either station and to wilderswill. It was the ideal mix of being able to access things, but also being away from the huge crowds of busy tourism. The thing that really made it feel like home though was Nicole (and Luna) especially as a solo traveller and being away from my home and my dog for 10 days, I do normally get slightly lonely, but having Nicole and Luna always there to be helpful and have a little chat in the morning made my stay so much better. I can’t wait to come back.

Super location, close to everything and easy to park there. The staff was really nice and helpful, they even provided us with lunch packets for our early hike.

There was no problems at all.

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was very delicious and extensive, with great options for both vegetarians and meat eaters. I think it was the best breakfast I ever had in a hotel, because of all the healthy options. Within ten minutes, we were in the city center. We didn’t experience any noise disturbance. The air conditioning was very pleasant, and the shutters that could be closed were a great addition. Thanks to them, the room stayed dark for as long as you wanted.

If you take a shower in the morning while other guests are also showering, the water pressure can drop a bit. However, apart from that, it is good. There is no elevator.

Great view of the mountains. Old style, great distance to downtown and bus stop stations.

Equipe simpática e prestativa, ótimo café da manhã, boa localização entre as principais estações de trem da cidade.

O banheiro é pequeno. O fluxo de água do chuveiro é fraco e a temperatura da água não se mantém. Oscila entre muito quente e fria, tornando o banho desagradável. O chão do quarto é empoeirado.

Incredible views right outside the front door. Beautiful well updated extremely old hotel from 1666! So much history but very current, good food and accessible.
