Soplo del Tambo - Naturaleza y Bienestar

The location and remoteness of this property were exactly what I was looking for. There is nothing to "do," which is what I wanted. The staff were exceptional in service and friendliness. The food was fantastic.

The property is absolutely beautiful. However, just be aware that there is no sound barrier between the room I was in and the one next door. You can hear a whisper from the room next door. I am not sure if there are shared walls in other rooms, however, so this may not be an issue elsewhere on the property. I wore ear plugs at night, and minimized my own noise to accommodate the close quarters.

The ecolodge was lovely; kind staff, the rooms big an spacious, comfortable bed, cute dog and cats, different breakfast every morning. Definitely do the full-day excursion to Melcocho river with Daniel organised through the lodge, that was a highlight. The first day, we hiked up to the lodge from Cocorna for about an hour. The days after we took (cheap) rides up and down the hill (it's then a 10 minute walk to the lodge). We enjoy being active and the motorcycle-taxi's were exciting to take. The extra effort of the location is worth the views and lovely lodge. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We recommend having some more clearer information about hiking trails (also in english), that guests can do without a guide.

The location is sort of remote and difficult to get to but very well worth it once you get to it. The views are amazing and the grounds are simply beautiful. I think the overall experience would have been even better if i had stayed for at least a couple of nights.

Since our room had a shared balcony and the windows didn’t have curtains, the room i stayed in lacked some privacy.

This place is magical. A truly amazing eco hotel up a mountain, with a spectacular view. I stayed for 11 days and didn't want to leave. Here you are completely close to nature, far away from everything. You only hear the animals and the wind. The people are so lovely, they do everything for you and make delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms are beautiful, you have a big terrace and you wake up with beautiful views. The fact that you have to walk up the mountain to get there, for me, gives an extra feeling of being away from everything. If you likebeing in nature and really relax for some days, this is absolutely your place.

Ecohotel Soplo del Tambo is a very special place in the mountains of Cocorná! Beautiful views and accommodations with a nearby private charco that's perfect for an afternoon dip. The owner, Heidi, is very helpful in organizing and recommending nearby activities (yoga, massages, Río Melcocho). If you're looking to spend some time enjoying nature and exploring the surrounding area, I recommend Soplo del Tambo!

Not necessarily what I did not like but, things that are important to note: • As described, the hotel is in fact up a mountain—a 10-20 minute steep walk up (they carried some of our luggage, which was very helpful) • You can take a 4x4 from town but, if you walk it, it's about an hour on foot • It has a family-friendly vibe with a couple of kids living/visiting the property • Breakfast is included and lunch + dinner are offered for a separate fee, which you will likely take advantage of due to its more "remote" location

The views and surrounding landscapes were completely breathtaking, and the gardens and accomodations were beautiful too. The atmosphere of the place was really friendly, with kind folks working there, and lots of sweet-natured dogs and cats around. The breakfasts were lovely, and the food was really fresh and healthy.

The soundproofing between the rooms could be improved - I could hear every word and action(!) of my neighbours, which made it hard to sleep on my final night. When there were no other guests it was extremely peaceful however! I loved hearing the frogs at night, and the birds at dawn.

We stayed with our little daughter for one week and we had an amazing time. The place incl. the big garden, the view and the surrounding is perfect for deep relaxation and to enjoy tranquility, nature, fresh air and if you like community life with Heidi and her children. Most of the time we stayed at the Ecohotel, so we also enjoyed amazing freshly made food 3times a day...we were really grateful for the vegetarian or even vegan option. Our daughter were in love with the dog and cats and didn't want to leave in the end :) Also as a digital nomad you can definitely work from there, the internet is very stable and fast and it's quiet enough to work focused. We highly recommend the place and would come again anytime! Thanks for everything!

I loved the view from the room and the breakfast area. The host is a very kind woman who cooks really well and makes amazing smoothies.

It’s tough to get there. The hotel has no staff so it’s not very clean and if you need something, you most likely will have to do it yourself.
