Hotel Islabela Islas Del Rosario

Beautiful property with very friendly staff. I was solo traveling and for me it was a perfect place to chill and relax. The food was good, beach is beautiful and the manager William did me a huge and kind favor. I stayed for three nights but could’ve stayed longer.

La petite cabane est très mignonne et l’île également. Pour une nuit seulement !

Le personnel est désagréable ! Ils nous font bien ressentir qu’ils n’aiment pas les touristes ! Nous n’avons eu seulement que deux personnes agréables, le manager William et un des serveurs. Le reste devrait changer de métier ! La nourriture est chère, au petit déjeuner nous avons eu des pancakes moisi !!!! Quel dommage que l’île ne soit pas entretenue ! Plastique et déchets partout, sur l’île et dans l’eau. Nous avions réservé de base pour 4 jours et la veille à 22h l’hôtel nous informe que la première nuit n’est plus dispo et ne nous propose aucune solution ! D’après eux une erreur de booking…… nous sommes donc arrivés 2 jours après et l’île était comme vide ! De quoi se poser des questions ! Le lit est extrêmement dur. Si vous voulez bien manger partez explorer l’île en direction de l’hôtel Coralina Island (on y mange très bien et pour le même prix voir un peu moins) et nous y sommes super bien accueilli ! Il y a également un manque d’entretien notable, ferraille qui resort des murets devant nous, balançoire dans l’eau cassée, filets au dessus de la plage indisponible pour réparation enfin bref pour un endroit pareil il est dommage que ça reste dans cet état ! Venez y passer une nuit histoire de se déconnecter mais surtout pas plus.

Unfortunately, the experience was not up to the price charged. The operation felt extremely disorganised, with a rather strange and rigid setup overall. On arrival, you are given a briefing that feels more like a long list of rules. While most of it is common sense, it is delivered in an uncomfortable and oddly formal way. To make matters worse, our booking was not even on the system when we arrived. Throughout the stay, every request, even something as simple as asking for a bottle of water, required staff to communicate over the radio for approval. It gives the impression that no one is empowered to make decisions, and that clearance is needed for everything. We have travelled extensively throughout Colombia and visited many islands. At this price point, you can find far better options with a much higher level of comfort and organisation. There was no complimentary water in the room, no kettle for making a hot drink, and overall the experience simply did not represent good value for money. The location is good, but that applies to almost everywhere on these islands, so it doesn’t really set this place apart. Overall, it was not the kind of relaxation, enjoyment, or professionalism I would expect, and certainly not what I look for in a stay of this level.

Not welcoming, disorganised and definitely not good value for money

L'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel. La plage privée même si la 2e plage accessible aux touristes à la journée était mieux (moins de coraux). Le prêt de serviettes de plage quotidien. Cadre très sympa, impression d'être seuls au monde le soir, une fois les derniers touristes partis.

Le manque de pression dans la douche (filet d'eau), les coupures d'électricité quotidiennes, les moustiquaires trouées ! Avoir payé le transfert en bateau Aller/Retour via l'hôtel direct port/hôtel (donc un peu plus cher que le transfert "public") et nous avoir indiqué au retour de monter dans un bateau "public" avec plusieurs arrêts sur l'île avant de rejoindre le port de Carthagène !

Un paraíso

La playita de nuestra cabaña una maravilla de paz y relax, sólo que por el día si algún barco/bote decide ponerse en frente, cada uno con su música a todo volumen. O los perros ladrando, más natural pero acompañados de las gallinas o algún generador, interrumpen un poco la paz del paraíso

Hotel Islabela is the absolute best hotel you can stay on the Rosario Islands. Their private beach is so quiet, serene and beautiful and their public beach is an absolute blast. Total good times, music, turquoise ocean water, soft sand, amazing drinks, cold beers, great food and just a wonderful small island atmosphere and chill vibe. We did a snorkeling tour with Hotel Islabela which was totally amazing, beautiful and very reasonable. The tour guides are top notch. The grounds of the hotel are meticulously maintained and beautiful. The best part of the stay were the people. Hotel Islabela team are the best. William the hotel manager truly makes your welcome and stay here unforgettable with his warm smile and friendly service, He and Francesco, Roya and all the other staff here go out of their way to make your vacation truly a wonderful life experience. We will be back!
