Auf der Heimreise von Südtirol nach Aachen haben wir in der Häckermühle übernachtet. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Auf dem Zimmer standen kostenlos 2Flaschen Wasser und eine süße Überraschung. Wasserkocher zur Zubereitung von Kaffee oder Tee standen ebenfalls zur Verfügung. Nach einer langen Reise tun solche Aufmerksamkeiten sehr gut. Eine Broschüre mit etlichen in der Nähe befindlichen Restaurants samt Öffnungszeiten war ebenfalls sehr hilfreich. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und ruhig und die Betten mit guten Matratzen ausgestattet. Überrascht waren wir von dem vorzüglichen Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offen ließ: Müsli, Obstsalat, Eier nach Wunsch zubereitet, Brötchen, verschiedene Brotsorten, ....... Wir können das Haus uneingeschrenkt empfehlen.
