We loved everything from the moment we saw it. The location, the building, the friendly staff, the clean, charming and comfortable room (#12), dinners in the restaurant, breakfast in the mornings... It was truly wonderful at every turn.

The bedroom had old but lovely furniture that suited the building. It was well equipped with lovely wood ceiling. The bathroom was very modern, with walk in shower and natural toiletries. The breakfast room was attractively set with lovely crockery of blue ware of the area. The tables had fresh wild flowers and each table was lit on a morning with a candle. Food selection was good and plenty. The waiter was friendly and helpful. We ate in the evening which was good, there is also an outdoor area with tables. You can pay for parking (if available) which is just a 2-3minute walk. Near the main areas. Definitely well recommended.

I stayed here 2 nights and they have the softest, most comfortable beds! I was on the top floor in room 8 and the ceilings were sloped, which could be a problem for a tall person. There was no elevator, so taking a heavy bag up several flights of stairs was a mission. The staff were very helpful and the food was great - both breakfast and dinner.

This place looked cosy to begin with. When we arrived the desk could not find our reservation...maybe that is why he placed us at the top....third floor room...a winding staircase to boot. The bed was placed in the middle of the room hence and had headboard or anything to lean against. In addition the price changed in between when we requested a reservation and when we arrived a day later. The food at restaurant was okay...breakfast was included and good, but would not recommend this place.

Goerlitz is a terrific place to explore on foot and this hotel was perfectly situated in the center of the old town section of Goerlitz, about half way between the upper market and lower market. The hotel was clean and comfortable and for a small fee came with parking. There was also free wifi. The hotel had a restaurant on the ground floor that served hearty fare and seemed to be popular with the local - always a good sign! Breakfast was simple, but there was a nice variety and everything was tasty.

We stayed one night in the hotel. We decided to take the more expensive rooms, the rooms were big and pretty decorated with a big bathroom. We arrived at lunchtime and sat down in the small garden outside the hotel and ordered lunch. The food was very good so we ended up having dinner at the hotel in the evening as well. Really nice food and the wine we ordered was also very nice. We were four people driving around for 9 days and this hotel was the best one we stayed at.
