Hotel-Restaurant Haus Waldesruh

The beds were comfy if a bit creaky, Our duvets nice and fluffy and just warm enough. At our request they also provided blankets which were used to great effect for keeping our toes warm :) Our room was surprisingly big and for german tastes reasonably modern. The bathroom was clean and had all the amenaties you'd expect. Breakfast was good. Coffee was brought straight to the table, the eggs were warm and the bread fresh, what else could you want? The staff was very friendly and patient with our struggle speaking german :) I also loved the location of the hotel. It's just on the edge of the forrest, and only a short 2-3 minute drive away from the town centre. Perfect for going on a walk or going bicycling in nature without having to travel too far either way.

The walls are fairly thin, we could hear our neighbours talk/watch TV. Both while they were in the hallway and our immediate rooms neighbours. Also while it wasn't much of a problem for us, the staff exclusively speaks german which I feel is worth mentioning.

Very good and clean hotel. I recommend it.

I was on a bike tour. This place ticked all the boxes and some more. It was great. The standard and size of the room was great. Very modern. Great shower. The bike storage was exceptional. There is a separate locked garage. For E-bike owners, there are lots of charging points. The breakfast was great both in terms of quality, quantity and service level. I also ate dinner there and it was very tasty.

Everything was perfect. I would stay there again every time in that area.

Modern with good facilities. Ample free parking on site. Good breakfast. The evening meals are excellent and all the staff were very friendly and engaging. Highly recommended.

We liked the spacious room. It all looked fairly new. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good with plenty of variety. We had a good evening meal there as well, although the restaurant was not open every day.
