Landhotel im Hexenwinkel

Due to car problems on our way to Italy we stayed 4 nights in this hotel. The staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was of high quality(platter with cheese and charcuterie, fresh bread, jam). We would recommend this hotel!

Not so easy to find a nice hotel in Germany for 1 night on your way to Italy. Most of them are expensive, have poor ratings and look perfectly ugly. But this one was just perfect: nicely decorated and comfy rooms, a delicious breakfast and a restaurant that seems to be popular amongst locals (and it was very good indeed). Really better than just a stopover place.

All good but.... Stayed several times and complained about the problem with Internet on every stay and hope next time it's solved because I like to stay at this cozy place, but unfortunately the Internet problem has not been solved. I guess I have to stay at a different hotel because working via my own roaming intern via the phone is slow and expensive. It's a pity bcs it's such a nice place.

The rooms are nice and the personnel as well. I've been there for one night only, but from what I've seen you can choose from a number of activities, mostly concentrated on canoe tours on the nearby river - worth trying. The only "black spot" was the position of my room: the hotel being very busy and my door just facing the one to the rooms hall, it was a bit noisy in the first hours of the night. Restaurant / biergarten offers a good selection of food, with rather generous portions!

The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous. We had booked at another hotel in Niefern but spent a horrible night there. The following morning a local recommended we try the Hexenwinkel hotel. I want to thank the lady at the front desk that answered my frantic call. We were traveling with an infant and needed rooms for 5 adults for 5 nights. She managed to get us comfortable rooms and beds. Even though the hotel does not offer air condition, it didn't matter, the hotel is in a small quiet town and you can open all the windows for fresh air. There is no road noise to hinder a good nights sleep. We had breakfast every morning and it was delicious. We would have liked to have dinner on Sunday, but it was booked already, the restaurant is very popular. We had a wonderful stay, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. I highly recommend it.

I spend some nights here every month, hotel is nice, rooms with character/traditional are clean and provide the services you need for a short trip. Breakfast offers fresh food and various choices. Same for Restaurant. If you are in the area, worth a visit.

We used this hotel as an overnight stop on the way to Austria. It is a great hotel and we will return if we are in the area again. The rooms are really spacious and comfortable. There is a great restaurant adjoined to the hotel which has superb food. There is also off road parking for those who are travelling by car/motorbike.
