Schlechte Lüftungsmöglichkeit im Zimmer sowie fehlende Klimaanlage, Straßen- und Bahnlärm im Zimmer deutlich zu hören, so dass wir das Fenster geschlossen halten mussten (die vorbeiführende Strasse wird aktuell als Umleitung für die gesperrte Bundesstraße nach Warendorf genutzt, was wohl zu einer deutlichen Steigerung des Verkehrs führt), deutlich zu hoher Preis für eine Unterkunft in der Peripherie und ohne Zusatzleistungen

Check in was easy although nobody around. The room was large and comfortable and a great bathroom. The staff are extremely friendly and the dinner was beautiful.

When we arrived the key was on the bar and it took us a while to find the bedroom! It would have helped if they had a bell on the bar to alert the staff that someone had arrived to check in.

We chose the property for the nice restaurant and location. The meal was very good and the service very friendly

The room was very basic and didn’t have enough toiletries or tea bags. Our room was many flights up steep stairs which made it difficult with our cases.

Very nice rooms with modern design, nice lighting, great details everywhere. The property is immaculate. Excellent breakfast with personalized service, good quality and nice atmosphere. It is also very modern in hotel-operational concept: (1) well staffed in the morning for breakfast and checkout but (2) unstaffed after 2 pm. Keys are obtained by entering a code to a lockbox which provides a room key. Overall, it is an amazingly creative concept hotel. I have never seen anything like it. It was a great experience.

I wasn't able to get the lockbox code through my booking.com reservation. I did receive an email with an online check-in link which didn;t work for my tablet device. My USA cellphone was not working in Germany (but did work in Finland and Netherlands), so I couldn't call the hotel for help. I sent email and Booking.com messages, but nothing seemed to get through. I suggest this hotel have better coordination with Booking.com. Ultimately I depended on the kindness of a stranger to call and get the lockbox code for me. The hotel has excellent high security locks (I was amazed how good they were) but which will be unfamiliar for many American visitors. I recommend visitors be careful not to lock themselves out. To be honest, some of my difficulties on arrival were due to my own ineptitude, and I came to really like the whole concept of the hotel once I understood it.

Dinner. The friendly service.

It's not a hotel, it's just rooms above a restaurant. On the outskirts of the city. No reception (service provided at the restaurant counter). We reported (and showed photos) that the sheets had small holes and the trunk had mud. We were given reason without even being offered a coffee. For all these reasons, we think the price-quality ratio (173 euros) was poor.

Disappointed to be informed on the day of arrival that it was the day off for staff. Self service check in/out and no food or service available. We have stayed here on several occasions following a long journey and were looking forward to a relaxing evening & meal. Instead we had to travel 20 minutes into town to find somewhere eat. When I communicated with the hotel regarding our disappointment the response was frankly arrogant & rude. I would have thought constructive feedback would be welcomed, not abruptly dismissed. Won't be staying again
