We had stayed here a year earlier, found the food a bit pretentious and a bit overpriced, but nice, and liked the place and the overall experience. This time upon arrival we were told repeatedly that they are normally closed on Sundays and were only open because they were having a large group for dinner. The reception was in fact rather rude. At six we found ourselves a nice table in the yard, only to be ordered to another table near the entrance, supposedly because of the group thing. We could only choose from a limited menu (again because they were normally closed etc) and we could not get the wine we wanted per glass. At that point the whole Fawlty Towers vibe got a bit too much and we went to have dinner at the local Italian. Which was very good btw. Breakfast next day at the hotel was excellent.

Beautiful and cozy hotel! Rooms are big and clean. My dog was also welcome there. Profesional, friendly and welcoming staff who likes to help with everything.
