The food at dinner was actually incredible. One of the best meals we had on our week-long vacation across multiple cities. Some of the staff seemed new but were lead by Inna (I believe was her name) who was a doll and seemed to be quite the well-liked lady. She was incredibly friendly and hung out with some of us one evening. They had a wood bonfire pit on the patio which had a ton of seating one evening that was cozy and sweet, especially since it was a bit chilly outside. The restaurant area is absolutely adorable, and it was very comfortable to sit in there especially at night; they did a great job with the interior and decoration (wish I could say the same about the rooms).

We called beforehand to check if we could keep our luggage there after checkout to go to Altstadt for a few hours before our train out of town departed. We were told, quite firmly, "yes, no problem". However the morning we checked out, a purple haired woman seemed to have absolutely no interest in helping us, was curt and very rude to us despite us being quite pleasant with her. She told us she doesn't know who told us that, it's wrong, and she doesn't care. We could leave it next to the door in the lobby if we wanted to, which is obviously not going to happen. Further, the hotel uses these tally cards you're supposed to keep with you as your room tab. Order dinner, each item gets a 'tick' next to the line item, and you pay at checkout. Seems a bit outdated and error-prone, but whatever. However purple-hair did the tallying herself, refused to show us her math, give a receipt or invoice, or a copy - nothing. Even when pressing her that we wanted proof, she told us she refused to do it and quickly hid the tally cards. The totals also didn't make any sense; my card seemed incredibly high, and another member of the group's card seemed incredibly low, which didn't instill much faith that she was being particularly careful with her calculator. The rooms are VERY basic. Hair gel / body wash (the same thing) come in little rip-open packs, like ketchup, and we had two (!!) for two of us for the duration of our stay (they were not replenished). Yes, we did seem to have room service, as our sheets were folded upon return. Beyond that, there was almost no 'comfort' or character within the rooms themselves; only on the outside and the lodge (restaurant), which I admit was cute but a bit campy (both literally and figuratively). Not really the hotel's fault but there were extremely loud guests where anything they did echoed throughout the halls.

Das Zimmer war Ruhig und sauber, das Frühstück reichlich

Das Frühstück war gut, es gab verschiedene Brot- und Brötchensorten. Ausreichend und abwechslungsreicher Belag. Ehrliches, freundlichen Personal, mein Handykabel wurde bei der Abreise nach gebracht. Ruhige Waldlage, urige Gebäude.

Die Lage direkt im Wald aber ganz nahe an Goslar ist super. Aufgebaut, wie ein Bergarbeiterdorf mit liebevollen Details. Es ist sehr ruhig, Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden und kostenlos. Das Publikum besteht hauptsächlich aus Bikern, die alle sehr nett sind. Die Betten sind ok. Abendessen im Restaurant war überraschend ok. Das Frühstück ist einfach aber gut, ohne Schickimicki. Wir waren zum dritten Mal dort, weil es für unsere Ansprüche reicht.

Das Personal ist wechselhaft freundlich, die Zimmer waren nicht sehr sauber und die Ausstattung ist sehr einfach und abgewohnt. Auf dem Flur hat es etwas gemüfffelt. Die Gardinenstange kommt bei Benutzung regelmäßig runter, in der Vergangenheit war schon einmal der Fluchtweg vollgemüllt und die Brandschutztür im Erdgeschoss ist per Keil fixiert. Es gibt keinen Föhn im Zimmer und keine Fliegengitter.
