I travel frequently across Europe and regularly stay in hotels through Booking.com, where I have reached the highest Genius level, but I have never experienced treatment like this before. I arrived a few hours before check-in after working for 24 hours straight. Instead of being treated with basic hospitality, I was told from upstairs that I could not enter and had to wait outside in nearly 30°C heat until the exact check-in time. The communication felt cold and unwelcoming, even though the parking area was completely empty. I understand that early check-in is not guaranteed, but there is a big difference between following rules and treating guests respectfully. Because of this experience, I unfortunately never even got the chance to see the room, the bathroom, or the cleanliness of the accommodation itself. Very disappointing experience.
