Schlosshotel am Hainich

Das Frühstück war ein gut und reichhaltig. Das Petsonsl war sehr freundlich und kompetent.

The hotel is, as the name says, a former Castle. It is situated right next to a wonderful park with art sculptures. It is completely barrier free. The staff was super friendly and waited up for us as we were arriving late due to a big traffic jam. Breakfast was nice. We have had the opportunity to take a very nice walk with great views over the "Hainich". A great destination when wanting to explore the region that has so much to offer. We went to see the Bach House the next day.

There was nothing not to like.

Eveerything was perfect in this old "Schloss" except...

that most rooms have windows oto a main road: noisy with open windows.

the castell hotel was pleasant, with large corridors - breakfast was average OK but without croissant :(

the bed and the pillow was not comfortable and the room was noisy because the street .. maybe the rooms from the other side would if been much better ... the shower cabin was too small

Arrived late and was going to leave very early in the morning, so the staff sorted out some food for me for breakfast that I could take to my room. Very comfortable hotel, I would love to have stayed longer. Arrived by bike which they kept in a safe area. Perfect!
