Hotel położony w cichym miejscu, otoczony zielenią w ogrodzie. Miejsca parkingowe dla gości podróżujących samochodem na terenie hotelu są w cenie pokoju. Personel bardzo miły i pomocny. Pokoje czyste i wygodne. Śniadania całkiem smaczne aczkolwiek nieurozmaicone. Duży plus za pieczywo bezglutenowe na życzenie.

Trochę słabo działa klimatyzacja a niestety trafiliśmy na wyjątkowe upały

I chose this hotel for its proximity to both the Irun (from which I walked) to the Hendaye train stations. It was for one night only and I was simply looking for a bed and a shower at a reasonable price. I got so much more! The Alcázar Hotel is set on a hill in the middle of downtown but it is surrounded by trees, once there, all you hear are birds, not traffic! A sanctuary in the city, with all the coziness, charm and unique personality of its former life as a family chalet 70+ years ago. This is why we travel, to find memorable and unique places! The staff is courteous, exuding 5 star graciousness and patience,  extremely helpful and generously multilingual. This is a most welcoming place and  they do have a lift ( elevator). There is a vast lounge overlooking the lovely trees, there is a large dining room with the same peaceful view, where a buffet breakfast is served. My room was very comfortable, as was the bed, which featured the long European style pillow that I love,  a style that is really great for your neck. I would buy one for home (Canada), but that's a lot of lugging.🤷🏻‍♀️Great when I get to sleep on one though.😴 My very clean room had a big bathroom with a window and a fantastic shower and fluffy fresh towels, nice liquid soap, shower gel and shampoo as well as a hair dryer. There was also a kettle and the makings for coffee and tea, a phone, a TV, excellent AC and WiFi, lots of closet space and hangers. I was loaned a really good iron on request. This gem of a hotel is in a fantastic location: within a 5 minute walk I found a long established ( since 1934), outstanding ice cream store:Gelateria Valenciana. Right across the street from the hotel is La Vinoteca, which looks wonderful, but I was not in Irun long enough this time to try it. I did have an excellent late lunch 2 streets away at "A Pedir de Boca".
