Fabuleux petit déjeuner Très bon restaurant Accueil très sympa

The whole experience was very good indeed, most surprising was the quality of the restaurant!! absolutely fantastic! ..well staffed but our compliments to the chef !! Good breakfast, very quiet bedroom & plenty of hot water , would return! 5*.

L'hotel è in pieno centro storico, in un edificio antico, ben ristrutturato, con una piacevole dépendance dove eravamo alloggiati noi con i nostri due Whippet. Non c'é un parking dell'hotel, ma si trova da parcheggiare proprio davanti, lungo il marciapiede. La nostra camera familiare a pian terreno e su strada, era confortevole; con due camere da letto doppie e un bagno. I letti abbastanza comodi: buona dotazione di scelta di cuscini. Frigo bar ben rifornito. Deliziosa la cena al ristorante Diderot dell'hotel, ma scarsa scelta nella colazione del mattino. Personale gentile.

Suite su strada a piano terra rumorosa (raccolta rifiuti notturna) perché i serramenti datati; portone ingresso che sbatte. Cestino rifiuti del bagno non svuotato al nostro arrivo.

The room

The street parking was exceptionally difficult and as we were not told we had to book hotel parking we spent ages trawling through narrow streets with restrictions everywhere, full public car parks, round and round we went, searching for a parking spot. This was a nightmare after a long journey. Then, after booking specifically because the hotel AND RESTAURANT, was dog friendly, at 19:45 when reporting for our evening meal reservation, we were told we had to leave our dog in the room on his own because “they had 7 dogs booked for the restaurant “. Outrageous. Too late for us to go anywhere else in a strange town. We were not happy and nor was my lovely, quiet, well behaved spaniel who had already had a long journey and was then shut in a strange room on his own. We could hear other people’s dogs barking from their rooms. A ridiculous decision. After all of this the food was expensive and self conscious- a chef trying to make it interesting but really just putting random things on a plate. Except for the dessert which was delicious. We will not return. Ever. A furious disappointed dog owner.
