The location and the building itself

Shower and the lack of any toiletries, Breakfast was a bit sparse.

We slept. We had breakfast. Interesting place. Otherwise not much to recommend it.

Very disappointing that there is no bar or restaurant. There is a brasserie outside the entrance but the menu is a bit odd. The other brasserie is more of a drinking place for young people although they did do a good tagliatelle. Completely unacceptable to be a hotel resident and to be charged 12 Euro to park.

Good typical French breakfast with adequate choice.

Restaurant on site. Nearby eating is perfectly adequate.

We booked last minute but the hotel was advertised as full bar plus restaurant. But nether were open. Which was very disappointing 😞 none of the local restaurants were open either except for alovely little place. Which saved the day. Payed for 2 night but were so disappointed that we left after one night. This hotel let itself down badly. Myself and my husband would be very reluctant to ever stay again.

Hideous furniture and wallpaper in bedroom. We used to love the old-style furnishings in this hotel.

Staff were exceptional, friendly & helpful. Room was adequate warm and comfortable. Bathroom excellent.

It would have been great to have the restaurant and bar open as there was little choice for eating out at the time we were booked in.

Staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful. Hotel room comfy, warm with an ensuite bathroom. Wonderful views of the rest of the chateau ruins and an interesting monument to WW11. Easy ample parking. Easy access to the town's boulangerie's and bars.

Would have benefitted from a functioning restaurant and bar as restaurants mainly closed on Monday & Tuesday evenings. The savior was the DomJon Hotel across the road which was open fortunately.

This was our fourth or fifth visit - a handy stopover on the way back to Cherbourg ferry port. We love the ambience, the rooms, and the breakfast is great...

The only disappointment was that dinner is now restricted to commercial travellers. Having said that, there are a number of good places to eat no more than a few metres away.

The hotel is an attractive building in the centre of a delightful town just half an hour from the Cherbourg Ferry terminal. Parking was secure and convenient.

We planned to arrive at 1600hrs when reception opened. We had a long drive from southern France to get to the hotel and set off early. During the journey we received a message that reception would now be opening at 1700hrs so we sat outside waiting for an hour! The lock on the main door didn't work at any time (poor security!) and we went in but no one arrived until 1700hrs. The room was very "tired" and long overdue for an upgrade. The restaurant was shut, along with much of France! All in all we didn't fancy eating breakfast there as we consider that we had paid well over the odds for a night at the place already!
