Children aged 3 and under stay and dine for free, children aged 4 up to 15 years old, a charge of GBP 35 per child per night applies to include breakfast. The only dog friendly rooms are in the General Wade Building and Fisherman's Cottage; dogs are not allowed inside the main hotel. Half-board rates include an allowance of up to GBP 50 per adult, per night, which can spent on dishes chosen from dinner menu. Drinks (including hot drinks) will be charged separately. I thought the food and bar service was excellent. Drinks were out quick and the choice was very good along with being reasonably priced. Food at breakfast was very tasty and our meal in the main restaurant was also very tasty despite it taking over an hour to be served. Food is not served before 1230, so if you do have young children beware of this, the staff were very accommodating though and provided us with some leftovers from breakfast, for our sons lunch.

I think the spa is tired and a bit run down for a 4 star hotel. In our bathroom (020) there were small areas of mould and some quite grotty sections in the shower. Our bed was very loud and creaked and groaned every time we moved, which is not good when you are sharing a room with your 18 month old baby.
