Very clean and comfortable with great staff

This is a difficult review. Staff were helpful. Kind. Friendly. Lovely people. Room overall was fine. But see below I needed a iron, the manager hunted it down for me. Which was a great relief. Bed comfy. Tea/coffee available in room. Breakfast superb.

This is the difficult part. The room had a nasty odour. Drains. Powerful sewage smell. I did talk to manager at check out, and was informed that it's a known problem. They are working on No hotel should be renting rooms that have such a disgusting smell while they are " working on it ". I paid more than £100 to lie awake smelling that odour. I really believe if they are aware of the drainage issue, it should be something they make a guest aware of. I would not have booked, no one should book in these circumstances.

Staff were excellent, some of the best we have ever experienced.

Only thing I could say was shower was a little small and water temps would fluctuate.

Breakfast was excellent, friendly staff, location was perfect for our needs.

This is a good value place to stay for a night when passing through Glasgow. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The hotel all felt very tidy and fresh inside and out. The rooms were small but nicely decorated and perfect for one night. We enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant. I had a nice steak pie and mash and my husband liked his chicken curry. A great cooked breakfast was also included which you can have anytime up to 11.00, so really flexible. We liked that we could check out at 10, then have a late breakfast! Before breakfast we did a lovely little walk on paths down to the river, then back round through Livingston Park, which is worth a visit! There is a museum there but it was closed when we passed through. There is also a nice bar with great value drinks.

Good wholesome cooked breakfast.

1. Should have a self serve breakfast cereal table, and a self serve toast facility. 2. The bathroom sink in room 5 is a major design fault, its tiny and occupies a miniscule corner within an otherwise clean functional bathroom.

Everything. Room was beautiful, clean. Plenty of towels in a wee basket. Shower room was amazing. 4 poster bed beautiful too but the best part were the smiling, helpful staff. Has a lovely outdoor bit too. Sat outside in the sunshine until 8ish.
