The Crown Inn

The breakfast was a shambles. Continental breakfast is what the website said and instead we had a guy asking us one thing at a time what we wanted and he would then proceed to go and “have a look to see if we have that”. No menu. No clues on what they had. Far too expensive for what we were given. I won’t be returning

The location was handy for me

The room was very basic. The bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. I could not lock the room door from the inside. Breackfast was a very limited buffet of cereals only. No cooked food, not even eggs.

Lounge bar is cosy for lunch. Good lunch and excellent cocktails. The barmaid, Alex, was fabulous so much so we returned the following week. Yet again cocktails were perfect and Alex did not disappoint, good craic. Only downside is we can't go every week!

The hotel staff were excellent from the guy who did the breakfast to the staff behind the cocktail bar! Made me feel very welcome and helped wherever possible. The outside belies how comfortable the inside was going to be. Loved the residents lounge and the armchairs! Would recommend anyone to come just for them!

The rooms are old and dated but it was comfortable and well provisioned (even ear plugs as we were centre of town and can get rowdy on a Saturday night apparently!)

Wir hatten ein Vierbettzimmer für zwei Nächte,das mittels einer Innentür eigentlich aus zwei Zimmern bestand.Als wir von unserem Tagesausflug zurück kehrten,waren die Betten gemacht und alles war schön aufgeräumt.es war alles sauber,vor allem im Sanitärbereich.wir haben zweimal im Hotel zu Abend gegessen und waren mit den angebotenen Speisen top zufrieden.beim Frühstück konnte man wählen.scottish (gegen Aufpreis) or condinental, wir entschieden uns einmal für scottish full,mussten aber nichts bezahlen,weil ein kleiner Sanitärschaden in unserem Zimmer auftrat und eine Bezahlung deshalb nicht erfolgen musste.das Personal war äußerst nett und zuvorkommend.
