Liked how close we are so didnt need to travel far for a lovely time away, also spa was very good from me and my partner, liked the buffet + kitchen style.

I didnt like the evening meal lay out having to write stuff down and shake abit of paper when you was ready. It made me feel uncomfortable and rude also service was very slow we got asked if we wanted any drinks and we waited 15 mins for tap water had to remind young waiters and waitress quite alot they asked us if we wanted any sauces with our meal but by the time it came out we was pretty much finished with our meal, and no one told us that dessert had to be written down too.. we waited ages to serves to come over and when approached she told us to write it down then walked away after taking so long to get attention the first time. Breakfast was nice poached eggs were slightly under done quite watery. Our room was cold when we went to sleep but early hours in the morning got ridiculous hot we both woke up sweating and had to open window and didnt sleep well due to how hot the room was

Some rooms outside of main building. Normally this is fine, but on wet December nights not so much.

The room was absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The food was delicious, we really enjoyed our stay. This was our 4th visit! X

The tv in the room was so complicated to find a channel and some fresh milk in the fridge would have been a real bonus xx

We stayed in the Gatehouse which was away from the main hotel. We had issues getting from the gatehouse to the hotel where our event was being held. The staff advised that the usual golf buggy used to transport guests was being repaired and no one knew how to drive the other buggy, meaning that we were taken back to our room by one of the staff in their car. The staff were really lovely and helpful, particularly the breakfast staff (as I am gluten free). I think that if you are going to offer rooms away from the main hotel it shouldn't be any less convenient to get to the main hotel than the other rooms. The bed in the room was super comfy and it was peaceful waking up with a view into the woods.

The room was plush but there were a few touches which I think could have made it excellent. A coat hook on the side of the wardrobe ( coats had to be put in the wardrobe which personally I found annoying) More ambient lighting. The overhead lights were extremely bright but the bedside lamps were very low light and there was no middle ground. A hand towel rail in the bathroom An option to purchase drinks in the foyer of the gatehouse would have been nice. The main bar is in the hotel proper so once you are in your room away from the hotel you can't get a drink. We popped to the local tesco as it was closer than getting to the hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights of my honeymoon got upgraded to a suite location staff and food were all top drawer

No complaints about anything it was 10/10

Staff very helpful and friendly. Room and bed very comfortable. Excellent quality food.
