A well kept establishment full of old charm.

Great staff nothing to much trouble. Breakfast was excellent, very fresh and a great selection.

Room clean and loved the spiral staircase to the bathroom .bath and shower. We stayed in family room 2 double size beds loads of space and sofas to relax on

Great location, with plenty of on-street parking. Booked a basic room, which was comfortable, well-furnished and had a pleasant view from the window (a decked roof area, but had been enhanced by potted plants). Window opened well, allowing good ventilation of the room. Reception, bar and dining areas were all well appointed with quality furnishings and relaxed, tasteful decor. Small front garden area was nice to sit out in (despite a very wonky table!) Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. Excellent breakfast, with a wide variety of good quality hot and cold options.

Unsuitable for people with limited mobility, as this is an older building with lots of random stairs - this was not a problem for us. Shower curtain rail had been left in situ (probably for use a a drying rail, which would definitely be helpful) whilst a new shower screen had been installed. The old rail was rusty and would benefit from being painted/removed/replaced.

beautifully decorated with vintage furniture and feels so expensive yet so affordable , breakfast included in the price . My budget room was very spacious and i was very happy i also got a bath! i’m not sure if it was a free upgrade but it was excellent
