Easy check in and check out, close proximity to Scafell pike

We booked a dog-friendly room, which was a great size. The room and bathroom felt a bit worn and could use some updating, but overall it was okay and met our needs

"Communication via booking.com was poor. Tried to get a free cancellation as my daughter was unwell but no contact made."

The grounds and the drive, very impressive. Main bedroom mattress comfy. Just overall very tired. Strange smell on entry… almost as if someone had been cooking.

Very tired, dated furnishings, purple satin curtains and tie backs, in need of a revamp, carpets worn, bedroom flatpack furniture in the bedroom broken, divan base in second room faux leather peeling, broken and rotten windows, creaky floorboards.
