"Very good"

8.0

Very accommodating, considering booked qt very last minute. The staff was very helpful. The room was of a good size and clean, we literally needed just a place to stay.

The shower head would not stay up rite, but I am sure if I had said something at the time, they would have tried to fix it, and there was no windows.... but for the price we paid, it was still worth the money.

"Room smelt really strongly of bleach, I woke with a headache and sore eyes - comfy bed though"

3.0

Three main things: 1. The staff were all lovely. 2. The dinner they provided as part of my booking was fast, well cooked and yum and 3. the bed was super comfy.

The room smelt so strongly of bleach when I arrived. I opened the only window in the room (in the bathroom) but it didn't seem to help much. I ended up trying to muscle through it as I was only staying for one night but woke up in the morning with a major headache and with a burning sensation in my eyes. The shower was also clearly pretty moldy despite the amount of bleach they'd used. I tried to tell someone the next morning about my problem with their use of bleach but couldn't find anyone so I left them a voice mail. Am yet to hear back.

"Avoid Room 4!"

3.0

The location was fine and the pub is lively and friendly.

We were in Room 4. There were two significant problems with the room; firstly there are no windows, so ventilation is poor, secondly, the shower did not work. My partner raised the latter with staff, who explained that the water pressure was low, and provided a plug for the sink. I'm not one to complain, but when I tried the shower early in the morning there was literally a trickle coming from the shower head, even when running cold only. There was an absolutely enormous bath, with a sign saying 'do not use'. This bath presumably with couples in mind - but in a room with two single beds! We stayed during the British Grand Prix weekend, so presumably prices were hiked for that, but £200 for a single night in this room could properly be described as a rip-off. The business card in the room said 'rooms from £25 a night' - that would have been a better offer for the facilities.
