Great decor and a nice warm environment

When checking in and having to leave £100 deposit, they do not take contactless payment. I didn’t have my card with me and it was the right pain to get my card Details, so they could type in the number on their machine. Don’t understand why this can’t be done when they took contactless everywhere else in the hotel. Bedrooms were very dated and needed an upgrade, bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and the smallest TV in the room you have ever seen. No plug sockets by the bed which can be very inconvenient, especially for people like myself who has to use a sleep apnoea CPAP machine nowhere to plug it in next to the bed. Bedroom doors also were sprung too heavily and slammed all night when people entered their rooms. Definitely not worth the price paid.

Good breakfast and location. Staff very kind

The breakfast was very good and the staff really friendly. They accommodated an addition to my breakfast. I also loved the fact that a plaque said that Douglas Bader opened the restaurant in 1958. The hotel was also in a perfect location for my flying exam!
