The Pig in the Wall was a gem of a find. Beautifully appointed, perfectly situated in the older quarter of Southampton and with a superb breakfast grazing table and dinner menu. At the height of a heatwave they went above and beyond attempting to make the rooms as comfortable as possible, gave a room upgrade and assisted with luggage transfers. Outstanding experience in hot and testing conditions!

Nothing to complain about. Three flights of stairs to get to our room, but we knew this when we booked and it was not an issue. Our bags were moved to our room for us when we arrived, which was very appreciated.

It was a cozy place convenient to walking around. Right in the city wall! Breakfast was great; dinner was excellent. Staff a wealth of knowledge. Would definitely stay again!

No lift; but staff were very willing to carry our bags upstairs!

"Great stay - just perfect!"

Ideal location. Decor lovely. Staff friendly. Food fabulous We were called ahead to let us know that there were issues with the air con and temperatures were expected to be mid 30s - we were offered a smaller room that did have air con and took that - the duty manager was excellent and looked after us so well to recompense us for the smaller room.
