The Olde Swan Hotel

The welcome from staff, the pub with ales and wine and food, the warmth (it was cold!), room was fine, shower was fine.

No room for a bedside lamp and table, although the space was well used and it wasn’t a big stretch to reach the sidelights switch.

Staying over for an event in the main dining area. Food was good quality and value for money, staff were really helpful and courteous, rooms were good standard for an old coaching inn with en suite, coffee making facilities in the room. Rooms were clean and well decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Nothing really, they do not serve breakfast, but a cup of coffee and a biscuit in the room was fine for me. You could get to somewhere that served breakfast in less than 5 minute walk.

Great location, only a couple minutes' drive from Thorpe Park, which was the reason for our visit. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff, who shown us to our room, told us a bit about the history of the building and gave us some great suggestions for places to eat that evening and the following morning. After booking, I received a welcome email with plenty of information, in which it mentioned the single pane windows and possible noise. This did not appear to be an issue the night we stayed as we didn't experience any noise disturbances and had a lovely nights sleep in comfy beds. There is parking on site. We turned up late and were still able to park. All in all, it did exactly what it said on the tin. I would happily return.

I wouldn't necessarily say didn't like, but we would have preferred larger towels as they were quite small.
