Beach Hut Suites

The room, location and facilities were all excellent. We loved the room and only wish we could have stayed longer. It was just perfect being able to stroll out and get in the sea.

The ONLY reason for the lower scoring was that our breakfast was forgotten about. We ordered a basket for 7:30 and planned our morning around this (as we could only stay for one night and time was tight) it hadn't arrived by 7:45 so we tried calling but the phone provided in the accommodation had no credit. We dressed and went over to the hotel to chase this up (had been out for an early morning swim and returned for breakfast) and it seemed there had been a miscommunication. Food did arrive about 10 minutes after this (shortly after 8am), but it seemed a little rushed. We had requested a vegetarian breakfast and got fruit, plain youghurt, a slice of cheese and a bitesize pastry. It felt unfinished/a bit random and like there would have been more food provided if we had eaten meat. Also the flask of tea provided was nearly empty, not sure if we were given a "used" one in error. Although everything else about the stay was great, for the money we paid we felt that the breakfast was going to be exceptional and it was extremely basic. Also felt there was too much emphasis on alcohol. Our free wine was given to neighbouring accommodation and gin left as we do not drink. An alternative being offered before the visit would have been great as I'm sure these freebies are factored into the price somewhere. Such a shame as food is my favourite thing and this has certainly made me wary of staying here again.

Not a thing

The Beach huts are perfectly placed for the seafront, with amazing sea views. The huts are spacious, modern and have a fabulous seaside decor without being too literal! Loved the outside pizza bar and thought booking the pool to secure a dedicated swim slot was a great way to ensure a uninterrupted swim.

The adjacent hotel could do with some decor updating - staff wonderful but felt slightly care home versus the huts!
