"This is a lovely historic building with luxurious rooms. The staff were also very friendly. But this is a pub with rooms"

9.0

The bedroom - the Thomas Hewitt - was superb. We loved the way this historic building is used and is such a community asset.

I’d stay there again so in truth there was nothing.

"We had intended to stay in Liverpool city centre but due to Liverpool playing at home, prices were ridiculous £450 per n"

8.0

Warm atmosphere, friendly hostess (Karen) and her staff - perfect if you are happy to stay a few miles outside Liverpool but within travelling distance of the city centre.

Everything was fine

"Suited what we needed but only ok not good"

7.0

Breakfast was £15 extra. Room clean, however very cold on arrival, the one good member of staff sorted that. Bed awful, way way to soft, had back ache for a week after. Before checking in we met 2 friends and ordered 4 meals, 3 arrived, the 4th arrived when the 1st 3 had finished eating.

The mattress.
