Tynedale Hotel

Wow, our first visit to Llandudno and what a fantastic hotel to stay in. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and was treated to a hot drink and a taste of bara brith whilst our case’s were delivered to our room. The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. Both the breakfasts and the evenings meals were so delicious and always serviced hot and even though the waiting staff were very busy they were always smiling and checking everything was ok. On our last evening we were treated to a taster menu of 8 courses of Welsh food which was amazing and so tasty. The bar area is set out so well too so you can either sit and watch the entertainment or sit around the corner but still hear it. The staff on the bar do a fantastic job and were always happy to serve you and make conversation. The reception staff made sure everything was ok and was very helpful when I needed to ask anything. We had entertainment each night which consisted of bingo then a show, all were excellent but I particularly enjoyed the Welsh make choir. All in all it’s a hotel I would recommend and will definitely be going back. Thank you to everyone

This is a fantastic Hotel. The best we have ever been to. Everything is first class. The staff are lovely and can't do enough for you. The rooms are spotless and really nice. The food is excellent and plenty of it. I had a problem with the TV subtitles not working properly so I mentioned it to reception before going out for the day on a trip. When we returned they had replaced the TV with a brand new one. I was so impressed with that. Thank you for a wonderful five day's at your lovely Hotel.

Fantastic hotel, beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean.Delicious food of the finest quality and very helpful and professional staff. Highly recommend, the promenade terrace and seating area is an added bonus too.

This was our second stay at the Tynedale, and we are happy to report that the high standards remain, making the hotel an ideal place to stay. The location is literally a stones throw from the esplanade and a few minutes walk to Llandudno town centre. Around ten minutes is all it takes to reach the Victorian pier and the delightful fenicular tram station for trips up the Great Orme is not much further away. Able walkers will have no problems strolling to any of the above destinations. Those wishing to visit nearby Conwy (well worth the effort) can either use public transport or get there by taxi in about 15 minutes. At the time of writing the taxi fare is something over £17 one way. Our coach party was with the excellent Kardan travel, and on arrival there were plenty of Tynedale staff on hand to grab our bags, which soon appeared outside rooms. Check-in was smooth and hassle free. Some hotels treat coach parties, in particualr those including older people, as second class guests. This is not the case at the Tynedale, where we were made to feel very welcome. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed. As mentioned in our previous review, bathrooms feature a deluge style shower-head plus hand bar for those important crevices, and a non-slip floor. Rooms also include a wall mounted TV, hair dryer, tower fan for hot days and an extra thick blanket for colder conditions. Beds are standard size but comfortable, with two pillows per guest. Tynedale staff are all of a high standard, and were keen to make our visit memorable for the right reasons. One stand out example of the good attitude we encountered was the very efficient housekeeping service. Some hotels try to get guests to use less towels, etc, but the Tynedale understands that for many guests the luxury of having their bed made and getting fresh towels each day is a part of the holiday experience. Also, the in-house Peppercorns Restaurant remains a high point. My parter and I are both good cooks, but what the Tynedale chefs do is a huge step above and beyond. Our food was delicious and plentiful, with small innovations that were surprising and tasty. Our server was mostly the lovely Rhiannon, who combined efficiency with just the right amount of attentiveness, never making us feel rushed. Food arrived quickly and nothing was too much trouble. On departure day our packed bags were taken from outside our rooms and sorted for storage under the coach. When it was finally time to drive away, the staff came out to wave us off, which was a nice touch, and a last example of what made us feel valued customers. In conclusion, we can highly recommend the Tynedale as a great place to stay when visiting Llandudno and we would love to return for another visit, all things remaining equal.

Stayed for 3 nights on the mock cruise. We have been trying to get in for a while and were lucky to get cancellation. The atmosphere was so friendly. Rooms and food were 5 star. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
