Perfect location. Lovely modern room.

The only blip is there are no keys anymore to open the windows. I did ask for one but never got it. As well as the option of fresh air, the bathroom will eventually suffer from damp.

Every thing about the place was spot on

Well located for Darlington centre and railway station. Good well priced and fresh cooked food abailable in bar. Friendly staff and homely atmosphere. Great centre for the incredible scenery and historical legacy of the North East, much easily accessible by the good public transport in the region.

No breakfast but plenty of other outlets available nearby.

Alright for what you pay

the hotel is 5 minutes away from the train station, very easy to find; the room was exceptionally clean and had all the basics for a comfortable overnight stay (including a tea/coffee making facilities); very comfortable bed; excellent communication with the reception (I arrived outside of the check-in hours which was unplanned, got in touch with the hotel who were super-helpful and arranged a self check-in option with no extra fee)
