Hotel-Pension Berger

This is a family owned hotel with friendly staff. Eveything was super clean and well-organized and the room was comfortable.

The location can be a bit far from downtown by walking.

Beds were very soft, so we all slept really well. Breakfast was delicious - best 'hotel' breakfast we've ever had. Staff was very accommodating and helpful.

We all loved the pool and garden! Check in was really simple for our late night arrival. Room was spacious.

We felt the cost for breakfast was a bit expensive so chose to go for pastries at nearby cafe instead.

It has a small swimming pool but you probably won't have time for it if you stay for a night.

It was too expensive for a night and the bed wasn't so comfortable.

Arrival 23:30 as arranged. No hotel info in room number 3. No internet connection through hotel WLAN. As a result I could not open emails from the hotel with appropriate information. No emergency evacuation plan available. I was told that I booked too late to receive neccessary information per email! NOTE: when a guest arrives late at an hotel & there is no hotel reception, no information about the hotel's facilities or services, no fire extinguisher visible, and no emergency evacuation plan to be found, then you worry. The worry stays with you through the night & into the early hours of the morning. A most unpleasant experience at a pleasant hotel. I woke many times during the night because I did not feel my wife & I were in a secure or safe environment. No apology or discount was offered. Booking.com stated breakfast included. This was declined by the owner. A polite but arrogant owner blamed her service provider for the Internet outage & blamed me for not receiving hotel information because I booked too late. The service as specified on the Booking.com & hotel website not accurate. I was mislead & not compensated for the service shortfalls. The non-caring attitude gave a strong sense that the owner is only in the business for the money & not as a business partner.
