Berghotel Mummelsee

Everything!!!! Staff was exceptional!! When we did not have room made up, the staff still made sure we had water. The pup was given treats and a bowl. Everyone answered any questions we had and were extremely helpful. We did a spa treatment which was fantastic. The breakfast was varied and plenty as were dinners!! Schwarzwald Kirsche Kuchen was the best!!! The fresh oven bread was my favorite!!! You could smell the baking all day!! Loved the mini fridge where we kept wine and snacks which we enjoyed on the balcony. The area was great for hiking and the boardwalk around the lake was nice. We did dip our feet!!! We toured in the car a little but honestly you can stay put at the hotel. The gift shops were great to get unique gifts and treats.

Not that these are non-negotiables as our trip was the best. We chose mountain side and glad we did as during the day the lake side was full of tourists along with guests. We could sit on our balcony and not be bothered by noise. We did not like the pillows and the staff tried to accomodate. Some flatter stiff ones would have been perfect. The sleeper sofa was very hard and the beds were a little too stiff for my friend (I was ok). Would this keep us away?? NO!!! As we drove, we would just pack our own pillow.

The weather was not that good when we were there. Several days of fog and rain. Nothing the hotel can do about that. No tea making facilities in the room.

Ein sehr schönes und komfortables Hotel. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen und ich hätte noch eine Woche bleiben müssen, um das ganze Angebot auszuprobieren. Die Freundlichkeit am Empfang setzte sich im ganzen Hotel fort. Ob beim Service im Restaurant oder dem Zimmerservice war die Atmosphäre sehr familiär. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Kurz: Hier muss man gewesen sein.

Das WLAN ist noch etwas ausbaufähig.

Immer wieder schön

Die Lage des Hotels ist traumhaft. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Seeblick, wunderschön. Das Angebot beim Frühstücksbuffet gleicht dem eines 5-Sternehauses.

Die gute Lage auf dem Berg, am See. Auch die Wellness-Landschaft im 3. Stock hat mir sehr gefallen.

Buchung bei Booking - keine sofortige Bestätigung der Buchung nach Anfrage (3. April), spätere Buchung über meinen Account nicht mehr möglich, angeblich alle Zimmer belegt. Dann habe ich meinen Sohn gebeten, in meinem Auftrag eine Buchungsanfrage zu stellen. Dies war möglich, so wurde also gebucht. Vor Ort musste ich statt 3 nun 6 Zimmer für 3 Personen bezahlen (Mehrkosten: 276 €). Dies war sehr bitter für den Aufenthalt.
