Hotel Blechhammer

The location is on the outskirts or Kaiserslautern so it's very quiet. I stayed there about 5 or 6 years ago and felt comfortable staying a night there again. The Thai restaurant is first class!

I didn't like having to climb up four stairs to go to the bathroom or the automatic light sticking on for 2 or 3 minutes afterwards. My other room from 5 o4 6 years ago wasn't so configured so I wasn't happy with this configuration because I get up at least 3 or 4 times to go to the bathroom and having to negotiate 4 stairs when groggy and half-asleep was NOT fun.

The food was good, the bed was comfortable, the scenery was picturesque and the staff was helpful and nice.

The shower was tiny and the towels were very thin. It was a little off the beaten path but acceptable. No elevator and I had large heavy suitcases. The doors were locked when I arrived (10 pm) I had to call to have someone to come open the door so that I could check-in. They did help me with my luggage so that was helpful.

Hotel had EV charging for two cars as this is useful. Cost of the EV charging was 15 euros as flat fee. Room was clean and a decent size.

Good location

the hotel is located in a wonderful location, but there is a Thai restaurant under part of the hotel, so the whole hotel has a massive smell of food and the rooms are noisy, which is very uncomfortable. the room we received didn’t correspond at all to what we had booked, even though they said it was also a Comfort room….the cleanliness also leaves something to be desired, but all this wouldn’t have been so confusing if it had not been as if we were sleeping in the kitchen of a McDonald's which made our stay there unbearable... there was also no elevator since I had a leg injury, and the constant climbing of stairs was unpleasant. if the conditions are like this, we should think about normalizing prices!
