Breakfast was amazing! Location great! Loved we could easily get a parking spot.

We stayed in the hotel due to the annual Rinteln wine festival (we like wine). On returning to the hotel at approximately 21.30 we were advised the bar would only be open for approximately 20 mins. A little early but we were grateful that they allowed us to buy a drink. However, I ordered a glass of red wine which after just smelling it, I deduced it had been open a while, and the sip confirmed my deduction (I know this as I know my wine!) When I mentioned this to the bar staff, I was told it had come from a bottle open only that evening. I’m afraid this could not be true as I know my wine. I was not offered a replacement and so the glass remained untouched. My aim was to enjoy a glass of wine, not cheat the hotel. We were still charged for it. I believe the customer was not the Koenig in this instance which was disappointing.
