Das Frühstück war sehr gut, es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Die Lage ist super.

Leider für Senioren steile Treppen, glatte Dusche und enge Toilette, halt ein Schloss.

"Loved sleeping and waking to a great breakfast, but hoped for just a bit more castle feel interior."

Arriving at the hotel is great, it really is an old castle, with a large door, 2 castle yards and a moat. You can park in front of the property, which is great. The hotel has a small forest around it and a meadow with some animals in front. It is really quiet, close to nature and the breakfast is wonderful. It definitely is not your normal hotel, for me in a good sense, but for others perhaps not. The staff is very helpful and firendly.

The hotel does not necessarily have dedicated staff for check in or check out. We needed to wait quite some time to check out. Our room and from what I saw of the rest of the inside, the hotel misses a little character. The room and breakfast area are very barebones and feel somewhat empty. I would love to see some more decorations, to embrace the castle feel a bit more. Perhaps the outdoor and tipi businesses fit better and is why the inside of the hotel is well maintained but barebones.
