TAGUA LODGE

The room was amazing! It felt like staying at a spa resort. Breakfast every morning was varied and very good. The pool was great. Even had steam baths.

Not necessarily something I didn't like, but they only accept cash so be prepared.

The place was clean inside and out. Great ambiance outside. Pool, breakfast, cleanness are up to the American standards.

The staff should have a little more basic English to communicate with non Spanish speaking tourists who would appreciate this upscale property even more if the communication was easier

Breakfast was amazing, served course by course. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. My room faced a creek and lots of trees. The pool is nice.

I hadn't realized how far from town this place was. It was at least 10 miles from Tena and 10 miles from Misahualli. You have to take taxis into town for restaurants or better yet, rent a car. The hotel restaurant isn't open at lunch. It "opens" at 6:30 for dinner but then the guy told me it was closed. Then he said but I can order at the front desk and I guess eat around the pool. It was very confusing. The time I ordered, I canceled after waiting an hour and half and went without dinner. On weekends, the restaurant is completely closed and they will order out for you at double the price to cover delivery. They don't clean your room unless you give them your key. The shower was VERY low pressure and you have to rotate this thing that looks like a spoon to get hot water. Even with all of this, it was a beautiful place.

The pool was big clean and very nice

None of the personnel spoke English, there was no vegetarian option and the shower was cold and there was not even enough water to make my hair wet. Moreover there was a problem with almost all the toilets in the lodge that would not flush. At last over room was just under the breakfast restaurant so there was a lot of noise early in the morning.

The property is beautiful and peaceful. The staff are friendly and very helpful if you need something. The breakfast is great fresh produce every morning.rooms are comfortable and the swing on the balcony was my favourite spot.
